The Reunion Committee met on January 9 and considering it was about -15 degrees, we had a great turnout. Thanks to everyone who is contributing in some way to making this event happen. “That 70’s Party” begins at 5:30pm on Saturday, July 24 at the Faribault Ice Arena. Everyone from Faribault Senior High School classes from 1972 through 1976 is invited!
Fabulous food will be served from 6:30 to midnight at the following self-service buffet stations:
- Sandwiches, Mini Taco Bar and Dip: Assorted cold finger sandwiches, ranch pasta salad, fresh garnish trays, mini finger food taco bar and assorted chips.
- Hors d’oeuvres: Both hot & mild chicken wings, meatballs, small cocktail wieners in BBQ sauce, assorted cheese platters, assorted mixed meat platters and assorted mixed cracker platters.
- Vegetables and Fruit: Assorted vegetable trays with dips, assorted mixed nut trays, assorted fruit trays with dips (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, grapes.
- Dessert Bar: Assorted pastries, assorted cupcakes, mocha cakes, assorted cookies, assorted bars & brownies.
- Beverage station: Freshly brewed Starbucks coffees on site, assorted teas, assorted soft drinks, milk and bottled water.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages are included in the price of admission but beer, wine, cocktails are additional. Admission is $30 per person before June 1, and $40 per person for tickets ordered between June 1 and July 20.
Invitations will be sent out in mid-February, via email (if we have your email address) or by regular mail if not. Do your class contacts have your current email or mailing address? If in doubt, please send your address to us (see class contacts, below).
When you’ve received your invitation, please respond early and tell your friends to do the same. Space is limited (keep in mind there are five years of classes attending) and once we reach our capacity limit, we will have to turn people down. Dress is casual.
We are holding a block of hotel rooms at the following Faribault hotels under “Best of the 70’s” class reunion: AmericInn, GrandStay, Days Inn, and Select Inn. The first two are especially convenient to the party location. If you need a room, don’t delay. Make your reservation today!
Also Included in the price of admission (yes, there’s more!), you will receive a CD with your class directory and a collection of photos. If you have photos to share, we’d love to have them. If you have actual photos that you’d like to share, check back later and we’ll have an address for you to send them to.
